Article: Maiori’s Cote d’Azur Journey

Maiori’s Cote d’Azur Journey
Golden light, timeless streets, and effortless style — this is the French Riviera. And this summer, it became the perfect backdrop to put our Maiori designs to the test.
Our team set out to explore the Côte d’Azur, from Nice to Antibes, Monaco to Cannes — with a simple goal: to travel light and live well. Armed with our favourite Maiori pieces, we followed the sun and captured the essence of movement, minimalism, and modern travel.
Why the Côte d’Azur?
The Riviera has long been a destination where form meets function — where natural beauty is paired with thoughtful design. At Maiori, we design bags for exactly this kind of life: refined, versatile, and light.
From the early-morning glow on stone facades to late-night strolls through hilltop towns, every moment revealed what we already knew the best bag is the one you forget you’re carrying.
Moments We Loved
Mornings in Monaco
Worn: Sorrento 18 Backpack in Verde
With the first light streaming over the Monte Carlo Casino, our go-to backpack proved why it’s a Maiori classic. Compact but structured, minimal yet striking — perfect for a coffee run, a morning market browse, or catching a train east.
Sunsets in Menton
Worn: Pianillo Clutch in Nero
Small enough for one hand, striking enough to feel elevated. The Pianillo clutch was our plus-one for every evening: from aperitifs on the port to late dinners in alleyway cafés. It holds just what you need, and nothing more.
Bright Days in Antibes
Worn: Salerno 16 Backpack in Grafite
Cobblestone streets, sea breezes, and sun-washed walls. Antibes gave us a slower rhythm, and the Salerno 16 moved right with it. Lightweight, compact, and quietly bold, it was our daily go-to as we wandered from coastal cafés to cliffside viewpoints.
The Riviera, The Reminder
This trip reminded us why we do what we do. At Maiori, we’re not designing bags to sit on shelves. We’re building companions for real life, for the commute, the getaway, the long walks through towns you’ve never been to.
Travel isn’t always about distance — it’s about how lightly you move through the world. And for us, the Côte d’Azur was the perfect place to slow down, stay curious, and carry only what matters.
